We make games you come back to.

Iris Edge Studios builds small, deliberate games for mobile, plus the machinery that carries them from a prototype to a live store listing. Two games so far. Both designed to be opened again tomorrow.

The games

Two games. One idea.

Both are built around the same instinct: a game should be worth opening again tomorrow, not just finishing once.

Pinteza

Pinteza

A daily word game where the word changes length: five, six or seven letters, so no two days play alike. Every word you solve joins a collection you keep, with its meaning and its rarity.

Cowardly Heroes

Cowardly Heroes

A 16-bit endless runner about heroes who would honestly rather not. Dodge the lasers, outrun the minotaur, and see how long your nerve holds. Playable now on itch.io while it finds its way back to the stores.

How we work

Small studio. Whole pipeline.

Being small means the person who designs the game is the person who ships it. Nothing is thrown over a wall, because there is no wall.

  1. Design for the second sessionAnyone can make an opening screen feel good. The work is making someone want to come back on day nine. Streaks, collections, progression, and a reason to care about tomorrow.
  2. Build it properlyUnity 6 and URP, tested on real devices, with saves that survive a reinstall and a new phone. Roughly 50,000 lines of C# in Pinteza alone.
  3. Ship the whole thingStore listings, ASO, privacy and compliance, deep links, press kits, and a Cloudflare backend serving a server-authoritative daily word. The game is half the job.
Working together

Hire us, or partner with us.

We take on a small number of projects a year, either way. As paid work: a full game, Unity work on something already moving, or getting a build finished and shipped. Or as a partnership, with the risk and the upside shared. If you have something in mind, we would like to hear about it.

Concept to store

A game taken the whole way: design, build, art direction, store submission, and the launch itself. We have done it end to end, twice.

Unity, on your project

Gameplay systems, UI built at runtime, tooling, save architecture, localisation, performance. Joining a project already in motion, without the ramp-up tax.

Getting it out the door

Store setup, privacy and compliance, edge backends, deep links, waitlists, press kits. The unglamorous half that decides whether a launch lands.
