Who is behind Iris Edge Studios?
It is a small independent studio based in Portugal. Small enough that the person who designs a system is the person who builds it, ships it, and answers the support email about it months later.
What games have you made?
Two, one of them still unreleased. Cowardly Heroes (2020) was a 16-bit pixel-art arcade runner and is delisted for now. Pinteza, a daily word game where the word changes length day to day, is in development for iOS and Android.
Is Pinteza free?
The daily game is free and needs no account. There is one optional one-time purchase, Pinteza Plus, which unlocks an authored campaign and does not gate anything that is free today. Practice, Sprint and Chaos work offline; the daily word and Duo need a connection.
Why is Cowardly Heroes not on Google Play?
It is delisted for now while we focus on Pinteza, so it is not obtainable at the moment. Its itch.io page is still up, but it points at the old store listing rather than hosting a build.
Do you take on work for other people?
Yes, a small number of projects a year, either as paid work or as a partnership with the risk and the upside shared. How that works.
What do you build with?
Unity 6 with URP for the games, on iOS and Android. Cloudflare Workers for the web and for the small server that hands out each day's word.
Can I use your logo or screenshots in an article?
Yes. Journalists, reviewers and creators may reproduce our logos and game art when covering the studio or its games, unmodified and with attribution. Everything is on the press page.
Does this website track me?
No. There are no cookies, no advertising and no cross-site tracking. Page views are counted with a cookieless tool that cannot identify you, and the trailer loads nothing from YouTube until you press play. Details in the privacy policy.
How quickly do you reply?
Within two working days, usually sooner. Pick the right inbox on the contact page and it reaches the right place.
