Delete your Cowardly Heroes data

How to delete your data from Cowardly Heroes: Pixel Runner, a game by Iris Edge Studios (Android package com.IrisEdgeStudios.CowardlyHeroes), on Android and iOS. The full details are in the game's privacy policy.

1. In the game: DELETE MY DATA

  1. Open Cowardly Heroes.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap DELETE MY DATA. The button changes to SURE? TAP AGAIN.
  4. Tap it again to confirm. It shows ALL DATA ERASED, and the game restarts.

This erases all game data stored on your device: your progress and scores, coins, heroes, settings, your daily streak, and your ad choice from the AD PRIVACY screen. The game then starts fresh (in the EU, the UK and Switzerland it asks the AD PRIVACY question again before the next ad). This cannot be undone.

2. Or uninstall the game

Uninstalling Cowardly Heroes also removes all of its data from your device. If your phone backs up app data (Android Auto Backup to your Google account, or iCloud on iPhone and iPad), that backup may restore it when you reinstall; you can manage or delete the backup in your Google or Apple account settings.

3. Nothing is held by us

Cowardly Heroes has no accounts, and Iris Edge Studios holds no account or server-side data for this game. Your progress never reaches us, so there is nothing on our side to delete.

4. Ad data held by Unity and ironSource

The game's only ad provider, Unity (Unity LevelPlay, run with its affiliate ironSource, and Unity Ads), may hold advertising data linked to your device, such as its advertising ID. Unity controls that data under its own policy. To have it deleted:

  • tap the Data Privacy icon inside a Unity ad, where you can see the data Unity holds about your device for this game and ask Unity to delete it; or
  • email Unity's privacy team at DPO@unity3d.com, naming Cowardly Heroes: Pixel Runner. Both routes are described in the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

To stop ads being personalised, choose NO THANKS in Settings → AD PRIVACY. To stop new ad data being linked to your device, reset or delete your advertising ID:

  • Android: Settings → Google → All services → Ads (on some phones Settings → Privacy → Ads), then Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
  • iPhone and iPad: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, then switch off Cowardly Heroes, or Allow Apps to Request to Track.

5. Ask us

For any request about your data, write to legal@irisedgestudios.com. We answer within 30 days, and we will pass on, and help you with, any request that only Unity can carry out. We keep your email only as long as we need to handle the request.

6. What is deleted and what is kept

Game data on your deviceDeleted, by DELETE MY DATA or by uninstalling: progress, scores, coins, heroes, settings, daily streak and your ad choice.
